One in four women experience sexual violence in their lifetime, and for some the prospect of going for a cervical screening test can be daunting or even impossible. Everyone deserves access to health services, and there are things medical professionals and survivors of sexual trauma can do to help make cervical screening easier.
This Probably Nothing we chat to Claudia Williams from The Survivor’s Trust about cervical screening for women and people who are survivors of sexual trauma and what can be done to make their appointment easier. If you have any questions for Claudia and Karen, do comment and let us know.To see more about Probably Nothing series 5, the topics and upcoming guests, visit our website.
