A woman in Nanjing has been given a second refund after facial recognition software on two iPhone X handsets allowed her co-worker access. Twice.
The woman, identified only as Yan, told the Jiangsu Broadcasting Corporation that her co-worker had used facial recognition on a fully personalised iPhone X to gain access to the phone. Apple, who did not initially believe the claim, offered a replacement phone. When set-up, this phone was also unlocked by her colleague in the same way. it is unclear if a third handset has been purchased – or if the woman has simply chosen an alternative handset.
